Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Oct. 10, 2017) – With only a handful of races remaining on the 2017 schedule Big Game Motorsports and Kerry Madsen are preparing to wrap up a highly successful first year together.

The Muddy sponsored team has an astounding seven wins, 30 top fives and 47 top 10s in 55 races, but it’s another stat that shows the consistency. Big Game Motorsports has only competed in one B Main this season.

“The consistency is what really impresses me,” Madsen said. “That’s not easy to do. You can’t do stuff like that without great race cars. Guy (Forbrook) has a good program and is meticulous. He builds a great race car. Not only is it fast, it’s reliable.”

The team has only missed two A Mains through heat races this season. The first – June 10 at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, a mechanical problem didn’t allow for a qualifying time and the team elected to scratch from the remainder of the night following the heat race.

The lone B Main Madsen has raced in – June 24 at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. – he won before charging from 21st to second place in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series main event to garner the Hard Charger Award.

“We were leading the heat race when the rear axle broke so we had a DNF in the heat,” he said. “That put us into the B Main, but we had a great bounce back to cap the night on a strong note.”

Madsen attributes that to the team’s speed, which has guided them to 20 Quick Time Awards this season. That has helped Madsen advance into the dash during 24 races.

“If you want to have a realistic chance of winning you have to be in the dash,” he said. “Regardless of how you do in it, making the dash will line you up within the first four or five rows for the A Main and that usually puts you within striking distance of competing for the win.”

Big Game Motorsports will be off this weekend before resuming competition Oct. 20 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout and Oct. 21 at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla., for the Twister Showdown with the World of Outlaws.
