Inside Line Promotions – MANSFIELD, Ohio (April 30, 2018) – Big Game Motorsports driver Kerry Madsen will join the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for a pair of races this weekend.

The Muddy sponsored team is slated to compete on Friday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., and on Saturday at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla., during the Outlaw Twister Showdown. Madsen was victorious at Salina Highbanks Speedway last year.

“I like the shape and design of it,” he said. “I always look forward to going to Salina Highbanks Speedway. They did a great job on it last year.”

Big Game Motorsports competed in Ohio last weekend during the inaugural $100,000-to-win Sprint Car World Championship at Mansfield Motor Speedway. Madsen kicked off the event on Friday by qualifying ninth quickest out of more than 70 drivers. He then advanced from third to second place in a heat race to start the A Main on the inside of the third row.

“We got a flat tire right away and by Lap 5 it blew out,” he said. “We got it changed and got back out there. We worked pretty hard to get what we could. We were strong at the end of the race on Friday.”

Madsen rallied to overcome the misfortune by charging from the back of the pack to place eighth.

The event wrapped up on Saturday, when Madsen finished second in both a heat race and a B Main to transfer into the 19th starting position in the main event.

“It felt like I passed five cars on the first lap, but a guy spun out in front of us and we hit him and flipped,” he said. “That was the end of the weekend for us.”

Madsen was unable to restart the race following the crash on Lap 2 and he was credited with a 24th-place finish.
