Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Oct. 17, 2018) – Big Game Motorsports driver Kerry Madsen is slated to climb back into the Muddy sponsored sprint car this weekend during a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event.

The team will invade Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday for the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout. It’s a track where Madsen has been very successful.

“I enjoy racing at Lakeside and it’s been a pretty good track for us,” he said. “I won a race there a few years ago and we almost won last year so that’s always a confidence booster.”

Madsen finished fifth at Lakeside Speedway last year, when he nearly won before an incident while leading. Madsen had built more than an eight-second lead when contact in traffic resulted in a flat tire with 10 laps remaining. Madsen restarted at the back of the lead-lap cars and charged to the top five.

It marked his third straight top five at the track as he posted a third-place run in 2015 after winning a World of Outlaws race there in 2014.

“It’s a fast track so you need to set yourself up to have a successful night by qualifying well,” Madsen said. “We were really fast there last year so hopefully we can continue with that level of speed and we will put ourselves in contention to battle for the win.”
