Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (April 11, 2019) – Big Game Motorsports is heading south to open the 2019 season this weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.
Kerry Madsen will kick off his third season behind the wheel of the KI Crossbows sponsored No. 2 this Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the Texas Outlaw Nationals.
“I’m pretty excited,” he said. “We have a new start so to speak. Starting in late April kind of sucks because everyone else has been racing so we’re jumping into the frying pan. We have a good team and good engines so we’re looking to start well.”
Madsen last competed at the half-mile oval in April 2016. He posted results of fourth and third, respectively. He recorded a ninth-place finish at the track in 2015 and placed sixth and third, respectively, in 2014.
“I’ve run pretty well there,” he said. “That track has its own things that’s tricky about it, but it’s one of the ones I look forward to racing.”
The plan is to compete at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, next week before rejoining the World of Outlaws during the final weekend of the month at races hosted by Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. (April 26); at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. (April 27); and at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill. (April 28).
