Inside Line Promotions – SWEDESBORO, N.J. (May 23, 2019) – Kerry Madsen will join the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for three races during the upcoming holiday weekend.

The KI Crossbows backed Big Game Motorsports team will race on Friday and Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., during the Patriot Nationals and on Monday at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind., during the Memorial Day Spectacle presented by KOI Auto Parts.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Madsen said. “We’re not putting the whole night together yet like you need to with the Outlaws. We need to do a better job at the start of the night and keep up with the changes. The speed is there. We just have to put it all together.”

Madsen raced with the World of Outlaws three times in the last week. He qualified seventh quickest in his group before placing fifth in a heat race and 17th in the main event on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Madsen capped the weekend by timing in fifth quickest in his group on Saturday. He then ended fourth in a heat race and 12th in the A Main.

“I was pretty happy with everything after Williams Grove,” he said. “It’s good to do a couple of races in a row with the Outlaws. When you run weekly shows you can run well and not see the problems, but when you run with the Outlaws it’s hard to overcome many things so you learn where you need to get better.”

This week started on Tuesday at Bridgeport Speedway, where Madsen qualified 24th quickest, charged from eighth to fifth place in a heat race and wrapped up the night with a 14th-place run in the main event.

“I think we underachieved at Bridgeport,” he said. “We were a little on the free side. But that’s how you get better is to keep at it with the World of Outlaws. Hopefully we can continue to improve with our races this weekend.”
