Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 7, 2019) – Kerry Madsen enters the 59th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores seeking his seventh straight year of making the Saturday night A Main.

The Big Game Motorsports driver has qualified for the prestigious main event hosted by Knoxville Raceway a total of 12 times, including eight of the last nine years. His best run was a second-place finish in 2015 to highlight a trio of podiums.

Madsen capped a three-race weekend for the KI Crossbows sponsored team by invading the half-mile oval on Sunday during the 8th annual Bell Helmets Capitani Classic presented by Great Southern Bank.

He qualified second quickest in his group before placing fourth a heat race, second in a B Main and 20th in the main event following a mid-race incident that forced him to restart at the back of the field.

The night provided good laps to prepare for the Knoxville Nationals after spending the previous two nights at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., during the Ironman 55 with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

Madsen charged from 17th to 10th, which was tied for the most cars passed in the main event on Friday. He wrapped up the doubleheader with a 12th-place run on Saturday.
