Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Sept. 2, 2019) – Kerry Madsen is aiming for a successful final two months of the season.
The KI Crossbows backed Big Game Motorsports driver will pair up with veteran crew chief Barry Jackson for the remainder of the year. It begins this week with a trio of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions races on Thursday at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pa., and Friday and Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa.
“We’ll have a bit of a new look and new direction,” Madsen said. “I’m looking forward to getting on with it and seeing where we’re at and finishing the rest of the season off strong. There’s a lot of changes and hard work to cram into a short time. I’m generally excited for the next chapter. I’m pretty confident we’ll be quick.”
Thursday will mark Madsen’s debut at Bedford Speedway and this weekend will be his first trip to Port Royal Speedway since recording two top fives during the 2017 edition of the Tuscarora 50.
“It suits my style,” he said of Port Royal Speedway. “When you have weekly competition the locals will be quick. There’s always a little transition (with a new crew chief), but realistically you’d like to think we’ll be competing up front pretty quickly.”
