Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (March 10, 2020) – The Killer Instinct Crossbows sponsored Big Game Motorsports will join the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in Texas this weekend.
Driver Kerry Madsen leads the team into events on Friday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige and Saturday at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, during the East Texas Lone Star Shootout.
“I’m excited and I’m looking forward to going to a new track,” he said. “After the races in Florida I think we have a trend of what we need to do with the race car and how it will work together. That will hopefully put us in the right direction.”
The team has five races under its belt this season – all last month during the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla. Madsen highlighted the week with a sixth-place finish.
The focus now shifts to a pair of ovals where the team has yet to run. Madsen visited LoneStar Speedway once in October 2009 when he placed 14th during a World of Outlaws race.
“That’s when it was a half mile,” he said. “The track configuration has changed. You can go through the notes and the internet videos. You just go to your feel and what you see once you hit the track. You have to adapt quickly. If you’re not on the pace in hot laps you usually don’t qualify that well.”
